Can't Download Games On Origin
1) Added it to firewall list, shut off firewall also (no internet connectivity)
2) under internet options, No VPN thing to delete, also unchecked the LAN proxy. (Still no Internet connectivity) (The laptop is using wifi)
3)Uninstalled, Reinstalled. (Still no internet connectivity)
4) Deleted old games under (Origin Games) and reinstalled Origin (Still no internet connectivity.)
5) Ran it in compatability mode (Windows 7) and (Windows 8) there is still no internet connectivity.
There are no security programs, though I will be installing Vipre security (I use it on my computer without any problem to origin)
I want to run the sims 4 (just bought it this tuesday) and Sim City (With future expansion) and i am trying to figure out whats wrong. I know its not the laptop, because before it was upgraded to 8.1 sims 3 worked perfectly fine, but as soon as we upgraded it to 8.1 it basically stopped working ever, it wouldnt let me log in, or anything. (since it required me to be online to log in)
also this may be a symptom to the problem. But her windows store also stopped working as soon as we upgraded to 8.1, although thats not the problem, its possible it could indicate a similar issues? Anyway thanks for any help yall can provide.
I posted this on the EA forum, but as EA has such a 'successful' ability to solve this (they havent, i have searched their forum) and hoping for a better result here, you guys helped me with a lot of my hardware problems, im sure yall can shed some light on this as well. Thanks!
